Pre-shoot planning is paramount for architectural photography. One needs to understand the buildings position and interaction with the landscape. Know the path of the sun over the structure and how light will play with its surfaces and textures. Have a clear understanding of the architects vision and how to best communicate that in an image.

A well trained eye sees light, shadows, lines and shapes differently from others. It’s the photographers key to finding the perfect composition, in the most intriguing light. A camera is simply a tool to capture this vision and effectively depict a three dimensional space in a two dimensional image.
